 Empowering Gwinnett Village’s middle school aged youth to demonstrate leadership abilities and positively contribute to their community through civic service, the Summer Jump Start Youth Program offers education with a focus on math and science, self-evaluation and opportunities for character building. Developed to help maintain a student’s educational development over the summer, the hands-on six-week academic and enrichment program exposes students to businesses and cultural resources and enhances the awareness of higher educational opportunities in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Students are offered math, science, journalism and physical education instruction delivered by certified teachers, as well as enrichment opportunities that include field trips to local businesses, colleges/universities and organizations.
The Summer Jump Start Youth Program is offered at local middle schools. The fee for participation is nominal.
