CID Staff | | Chuck Warbington, PE Executive Director, Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District Chuck Warbington is a lifelong resident of Gwinnett County. He is a graduate of Dacula High School and earned a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. While at Georgia Tech, he was a wide receiver for the 1990 National Championship Football Team. Chuck and his wife, Stacey, a graduate of Central Gwinnett High School, have been married 13 years and have 4 children. Chuck is a registered professional engineer having worked as a principal manager for a local Architectural/Engineering company (Pond & Company) for over 13 years. He began the leadership of Gwinnett Village in January 2006 leading the efforts in forming the largest Community Improvement District (CID) in the state in mid-2006. Chuck has served in many capacities including board member for Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful, the Gwinnett County Tree Advisory Committee, founding board member and treasurer for the Daniel Park Homeowners Association, Executive Committee for Partnership Gwinnett, board member for the Dacula Academic Foundation, and Leadership Gwinnett Class of 2006. He is also currently serving as District 3 Planning Commissioner for Gwinnett County. He was selected by the Georgia Engineering Alliance as Engineer of the Year in Private Practice for the state of Georgia in 2003 and was honored as one of Georgia Trend’s 40 under 40 for 2006. Before joining the CID, John was working on funding and programming transportation improvements in the rapidly growing Gainesville-Hall area. Prior to that, John has held positions with advocacy, engineering and transportation planning organizations. John lives in Sugar Hill with his wife, Sharyn, children Isabel, Charlie, Luke and their dog, T-Bone. Prior to joining the CID in 2010, Joel worked for A. Brown-Olmstead Associates, a boutique public relations firm in Buckhead. He received his Bachelor’s degree, in Communication Studies, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Joel lives in Marietta with his wife, Anna Rose and daughter, Avalynn. | | Alyssa Sinclair Project Manager As Project Manager for the CID, Alyssa Sinclair primarily works on grants and funding for projects, project management and code enforcement. Alyssa, an Atlanta native, attended Davidson College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduating, Alyssa spent three years teaching in the South Bronx through Teach for America and earned a Master of Teaching degree from Pace University in New York City. When she returned to Atlanta, she spent another two years teaching with the Atlanta Public Schools before enrolling in Georgia Tech’s City and Regional Planning program. While in graduate school, Alyssa worked as an intern for the CID. She joined the staff full time when she graduated with a Master’s degree in City Planning in May 2010. |
