Note from Executive Director, Chuck WarbingtonThese are exciting times in Gwinnett Village – the renaissance has begun! As executive director, it’s especially thrilling to watch the changes taking place from a front row seat. The board of directors and staff strives every day to improve our District and move closer to realizing its potential as the “land of opportunity” – the ideal location for the next urban corridor in the metro region. And, we take our motto to heart: Vision. Leadership. Progress.
We are guiding the vision for Gwinnett Village and are encouraged by the initial success: - Crime decreased significantly the first two years and we’re working with the Gwinnett and City of Norcross Police Department to maintain that momentum
- Traffic congestion is a top concern for those who live, work and play in the Village, and we have maintained constant dialog with the Department of Transportation and Transit Planning Board to find workable solutions
- Our sense of community pride and unity is continuing to grow
All of these are important steps to reach our ultimate goal: To increase the value and demand for office, retail and industrial space in the area – and in turn improve the quality of life. Come to our Gwinnett Village Board Meetings:The Gwinnett Village CID Board Meetings are open to the public and are typically held every second Thursday of each month at 7:30 AM at the CID office.
